LAKE TAPPS, Wash. — A flooded intersection submerged for more than three weeks may be cleared as early as Wednesday, after Pierce County agreed to assist in pumping water from a blocked drainage pipe on private property.
The flooded intersection sits at South Tapps Drive East and 190th Avenue East. A pond on property managed by John Hofer and owned by Manna Lake LLC began spilling onto the public road after a drainage pipe became blocked, creating a closure that has lasted weeks.
