Flood Watch issued for significant part of western Washington as heavy rains return

Skagit County saw tens of thousands of evacuations last week amid flooding.

SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — As heavy rains return, a flood watch is now in effect for Skagit County and numerous other areas of the region Monday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued the Flood Watch early Monday morning, which covers portions of 12 counties and major cities like Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia.
