Fire Weather Watch issued for most of Puget Sound

Fire danger is expected to rise across western Washington Tuesday with hot, dry weather forecasted.

SEATTLE — The Puget Sound lowlands will be under a Fire Weather Watch on Tuesday due to hot, dry conditions that could spark wildfires.

The National Weather Service issued the watch from late Monday night through Tuesday evening for the northeast and southeast Puget Sound lowlands below 1,500 feet of elevation and the west slopes of the north and central Cascade Mountains above 1,500 feet of elevation.
