Fire at Ferrucci Junior High causes smoke and water damage

PUYALLUP, Wash. — A fire at Ferrucci Junior High School in Puyallup caused minor water and smoke damage, according to Central Pierce Fire and Rescue.

Officials say the fire alarm was triggered, and the school’s sprinkler system successfully contained the blaze. However, the building still sustained some smoke and water damage.

No one was inside the school at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Central Pierce Fire & Rescue deputy fire marshals.
