Judge Michael Simon granted a temporary restraining order to protesters suing the Trump administration, saying that the “nation is now at a crossroads.”
PORTLAND, Ore. — A federal district court judge sided with protesters suing the Trump administration on Tuesday, ordering federal agents to halt the indiscriminate use of tear gas and other crowd control munitions outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Portland.
The court order comes after hundreds of peaceful protesters, including children, were exposed to tear gas fired by federal agents during protests in Portland’s South Waterfront over the weekend.
