Family of Federal Way shooting victim pleads for justice six months after killing

Hamze Elmi, 21, was shot outside of his Federal Way home in February. No one has been arrested for the crime.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — It has been six months since 21-year-old Hamze Elmi was shot and killed outside his home in Federal Way. His family is calling for justice and accountability, urging members of the public to help find his killer.

“Ever since that night, our home has been shattered,” said Hanna Elmi, one of Hamze’s sisters. “I watched my brother take his last breath. The person who did this is still out there, free.”

Elmi was killed around 11:40 p.m. on Feb.
