The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Skagit County, says the murders were a ‘foreseeable’ and ‘predictable’ tragedy given Bryan Kohberger’s behavior.
PULLMAN, Wash. — The families of four University of Idaho students murdered more than three years ago are now suing Washington State University, claiming WSU knew about concerning and predatory behavior from Bryan Kohberger, but failed to act.
Kohberger pleaded guilty in July 2025 to the murders of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves. He’s now serving a life sentence in the Idaho Maximum Security Institution.
