Expedia to lay off more than 150 Washington workers

The Seattle-based travel company said in a WARN notice that the layoffs would begin April 1.

SEATTLE — As layoffs continue across western Washington, another Seattle-based company announced Wednesday it will cut more than 150 jobs.

Expedia, the travel company founded in 1996, said in a WARN notice that 162 employees will be laid off starting April 1, 2026.

An Expedia Group spokesperson told KING 5 the decision was made to “remain disciplined about assessing the skills we need for the future.” The company is also adding new roles amid the job cuts.
