The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office ordered some residents on Colockum Road to evacuate on Thursday afternoon.
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash — Evacuation orders have been downgraded as fire crews continue to work on a brush fire in Kittitas County.
Earlier on Thursday, officials ordered residents along Colockum Road to evacuate. Those orders have been downgraded to a Level 2, meaning get ready to leave, as of 6 p.m.
The brush fire started Thursday afternoon and is estimated to be over 20 acres. The fire is burning in heavy brush, grass and timber, according to the Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue.
