An 87-year-old woman was rescued from the house fire in Seattle’s Central District on Thursday, but died at the scene, the fire department said.
SEATTLE — An 87-year-old woman died in a house fire in Seattle’s Central District on Thursday evening, according to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD).
Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 700 block of 20th Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. on March 26.
Crews searched the home and rescued an 87-year-old woman from inside. First responders attempted life-saving efforts, but the woman died at the scene, according to SFD.
