East Link Extension opens to riders Saturday after nearly a decade of construction

The East Link Extension opening Saturday will connect South Bellevue to the Redmond Technology area and will later be expanded further.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Starting Saturday, April 27, people who live on the Eastside will have a new way to get around. After nearly a decade of construction, the East Link Extension will be open for service.

This new extension is almost seven miles long. It has eight stations to allow people to ride between South Bellevue and the Redmond technology area, and it will eventually go even further.

The part of the link that opens on Saturday will run every 10 minutes between 5:30
