Drivers face major I-405 and I-5 lane reductions as Thanksgiving travel ramps up

In Seattle, southbound I-5 across the Ship Canal Bridge will be reduced to two lanes all weekend.

SEATTLE — Washington drivers will encounter significant lane reductions and closures on Interstate 405 and Interstate 5 this week and into the weekend, just as millions prepare to hit the roads for Thanksgiving travel.

In Bothell, northbound I-405 near state Route 527 will see overnight lane reductions from 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, to 4:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, as crews improve the corridor.
