A suspect was fleeing from a trooper when they crashed into another driver in Tacoma on Dec. 30. The second driver has died from their injuries.
TACOMA, Wash. — A person who was hit by another driver fleeing from a Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper has died, according to Trooper Kameron Watts.
On Dec. 30, 2025, a trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle in Tacoma and the suspect driver did not stop. The driver then crashed into another vehicle and caught fire at the intersection of East 72nd Street and McKinley Avenue.
