Driver, cat rescued from vehicle stuck in flood waters by West Mason Fire crews

Officials from West Mason Fire urge residents to be mindful of road closure signs amid severe weather this week.

SHELTON, Wash. — Fire crews rescued a driver and his cat from a vehicle submerged in flood waters in Mason County early Wednesday morning amid torrential rains.

West Mason Fire says it received a call around 3:45 a.m. for a person stuck in their vehicle on Skokomish Valley Road in Shelton.

Personnel were able to pull the driver and his cat from the vehicle with West Mason Fire’s flood rescue truck.
