Driver arrested after crash closes northbound I-5 near NE 145 St in Seattle

SEATTLE — A driver is facing charges after a multi-vehicle crash closed all lanes of northbound Interstate 5 near Northeast 145th Street in Seattle Monday morning. 

The Seattle Fire Department is on scene and said all northbound lanes were closed as of 11:13 a.m. The crash was first reported shortly after 11 a.m.

One of the drivers involved was arrested for vehicular assault, according to a tweet from a Washington State Patrol spokesperson. 

Drivers should plan for delays in the area and use alternate routes.

UPDATE: 12:10 p.m.: All lanes NB I-5 remain blocked due to this earlier collision. Traffic is still being diverted
