The DOJ has charged 28 individuals in California with election-related offenses, and did not rule out prosecuting election workers who are “processing the ballots” there.Â
California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia, whose district includes Long Beach, called the incident "incredibly disturbing" and said the man is a U.S. citizen.Â
