A dirt biker in a remote area near Wilkeson fell into a ravine after the ground collapsed beneath him.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A dirt biker was injured Friday after the ground gave way beneath him, sending him tumbling into a ravine in a remote area near Wilkeson, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PSCO).
The sheriff’s office said two men were riding in a popular dirt biking spot north of Carbonado when the “ground collapsed” under one of the riders. Authorities described it as similar to a mudslide, noting the ground had been softened by recent heavy rain.
