GRANITE FALLS, Wash. — The upcoming closure of the Rite Aid pharmacy in Granite Falls has left many Snohomish County residents scrambling to find alternative options for prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, raising concerns about access to essential health care in the small mountain town.
The store, which will officially close its doors June 12, is one of 13 Washington locations slated to shutter as part of the national pharmacy chain’s ongoing bankruptcy restructuring. Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 protection May 5, citing mounting debt and legal challenges.
