SEATTLE — Construction workers removed the final north grandstand column and roof beam from the historic Memorial Stadium Saturday,
The bittersweet milestone in the venue’s transformation was described by officials as “the most visual and representative of the demolition phase.” Demolition of the aging structure is now winding down, and construction of the $150 million replacement is expected to be complete by fall 2027.
