Crash near Sunnydale cuts power to more than 300 in Thurston County Sunday evening

The crash was reported around 6:00 p.m. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said the driver showed “no signs of impairment.”

SUNNYDALE, Wash. — Over 300 people remain without power Sunday night after a vehicle struck a power pole on Old Highway 99 near Sunnydale.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was distracted and struck a power pole, bringing down power lines. Officials said the driver showed no signs of impairment and no arrests were made.
