Crane escapes from Issaquah zoo, last seen near Lake Sammamish

Anyone who spots the crane is asked to not approach it and instead contact the zoo immediately.

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — A crane is on the loose after escaping from the Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah on Wednesday.

The zoo announced that one of its juvenile East African crowned cranes had made its way outside of the grounds on Wednesday afternoon.

Cougar Mountain Zoo posted that members of its team “had eyes” on the crane at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah just before 6 p.m. No further updates have been shared since, however.
