Convicted triple murderer who was sentenced to life apologizes, hopes for parole

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Timothy Pauley, who received three life sentences for a 1980 triple murder, is making another attempt to be released.

His original sentence did allow for the possibility of parole, but his victims’ relatives said prosecutors told them Pauley would never be released.

During a hearing Wednesday afternoon before the Washington Indeterminate Sentence Review Board to determine his next parole eligibility date, Pauley apologized for his actions and attempted to explain why he was involved in the deadly robbery at south King County’s Barn Door Tavern.
