A Rainier Beach nonprofit is stepping up student safety efforts after two high schoolers were fatally shot at a bus stop.
SEATTLE — Nearly a month after two Rainier Beach High School students were shot and killed at a bus stop near the school, that bus stop tragedy has community groups more determined than ever to keep students safe.
Dominique Davis, CEO of Community Passageways, a Rainier Beach-based nonprofit, said the loss underscores the need for bold action.
“We’re in a place right now where we have to do more and something extreme,” Davis said.
