Coeur d’Alene police identify audio recording of racial slurs against Utah basketball team

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Investigators with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department have confirmed new details regarding the racist incident against the Utah women’s basketball team two weeks ago.

The Utah women’s basketball team claims they faced racial abuse while staying in Coeur d’Alene for the NCAA Tournament taking place in Spokane, Wash. The incident prompted the team to move hotels.
