Seattle will pay $3 million to settle a discrimination lawsuit filed by former assistant police chief Deanna Nollette.
SEATTLE — The City of Seattle will pay $3 million to settle a discrimination lawsuit filed by a 30-year veteran of the Seattle Police Department.
Deanna Nollette, who previously served the department as assistant chief, alleged discriminatory and retaliatory behavior from former police Chief Adrian Diaz in the lawsuit filed last year.
The lawsuit said Nollette was made to reapply for her position of assistant chief and applied for deputy chief when Diaz launched a nationwide search for his command staff after he became permanent chief
