Court documents accuse two people of targeting customers in Renton, Sammamish and Kirkland.
According to King County charging documents, a couple is accused of working together in a distraction scheme that targeted customers at a Renton Safeway, a Sammamish Safeway ATM and a Chase ATM in Kirkland, diverting attention with cash on the ground and then taking or swapping debit cards.
Prosecutors filed three separate cases on March 10 accusing Elvis Stoian and Monalisa Stoian of identity theft in all three incidents and second-degree theft in one of them.
