Charges dropped against teen who stabbed, killed mother’s boyfriend in Tacoma

The teen told deputies the 23-year-old boyfriend had been in an altercation with his mother, pushed him and threatened him before the stabbing.

TACOMA, Wash. — Charges were dismissed against a 16-year-old boy who stabbed and killed his mother’s boyfriend in late April, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was ruled a “justifiable homicide” on Thursday, May 29, according to Carly Cappetto, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office public information officer. 

On April 30, the teen was arrested after stabbing his mother’s boyfriend during a “domestic dispute” on 76th Street Court East in Tacoma.
