Cathy Moore to step down from Seattle City Council

Moore, who was first elected in 2023, said she is stepping down next month due to “health challenges” and other personal reasons.

SEATTLE — Seattle City Councilmember Cathy Moore is stepping down, citing recent “health challenges” and personal reasons, she announced on Monday.

Moore’s last day in office is Monday, July 7.

In a statement, Moore said she had been considering leaving the council for several months.
