CARNATION, Wash. — City of Carnation officials are once again calling on Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) to bring back outdoor warning sirens as part of the Tolt Dam failure preparedness plan.
The sirens were taken out of service in 2024 after a series of false alarms led to widespread panic.
On Thursday, Carnation Deputy Mayor Jim Ribail shared a letter on social media, which he said was submitted to SPU, referencing the catastrophic flooding in Texas as another reason to bring the sirens back.
