Businesses suffer as Highway 2 remains shut during peak season

As the Washington State Department of Transportation reopens the eastern route to Stevens Pass, small businesses on west side are still waiting on relief.

SKYKOMISH, Wash. — The parking lot at the Cascadia Inn, which should be packed with skiers on a December afternoon, sits mostly empty.
