Thousands of families could be left without transportation if an agreement isn’t reached soon.
EVERETT, Wash. — Thousands of families in the Everett School District could have to find a new way to get their kids to and from school. Bus drivers there have authorized a strike if they don’t get a new contract soon.
There has never been a bus driver strike in the Everett School District, but that could change at any time with a key negotiation less than two weeks away.
The 175 bus drivers represented by Teamsters Local 38 carry a heavy burden every school day.
