Burlington partially lifts full evacuation order

Anyone who lives west of the train tracks that run north and south in Burlington may return to their home or business.

BURLINGTON, Wash — A full evacuation order for the city of Burlington has been partially lifted Friday morning.

Skagit County posted the evacuation order at 6:12 a.m. Friday, and said the National Guard will be going door-to-door to notify residents and assist with evacuations. As of 9:30 a.m., anyone who lives west of the train tracks running north and south can return to their homes or businesses.
