Burlington business says thief stole 500 gallons of diesel from fuel station

Skagit Farmers Supply says a suspect spent more than an hour at its pumps before leaving with more than $3,000 in diesel.

BURLINGTON, Wash — Skagit Farmers Supply says someone stole about 500 gallons of diesel worth more than $3,000 from its Burlington fuel station, and Burlington police are investigating.

The reported theft happened the night of March 12 at Skagit Farmers Supply at 1276 S. Burlington Blvd. in Burlington.

Ryan Nootenboom of Skagit Farmers Supply said workers noticed Friday morning, March 13, that the station’s diesel inventory did not match what had been on hand the night before.
