A paddleboarder discovered the body on Sunday evening.
TUKWILA, Wash. — A paddleboarder discovered a body in the Duwamish River on Sunday, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
Sheriff’s office deputies responded around 5:30 p.m. to an area near East Marginal Way South in Tukwila after the paddleboarder’s 911 call.
The KCSO Marine Team recovered the body. The team is working with the Major Crimes Unit, the Missing Persons Coordinator and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the person.
Authorities did not provide any information about the person’s age or gender.
