Big skywatching events in May in western Washington

As part of the new show “The Sky Above,” Meteorologist Leah Pezzetti explains the biggest celestial events to watch for in May.

From a meteor shower to the one-year anniversary of last year’s historic northern lights spectacle, there are a lot of reasons to turn your eyes to the sky in May.

Meteorologist Leah Pezzetti digs into these events and more in a new monthly show called “The Sky Above.” This series will focus on different astronomical events in the upcoming month, such as meteor showers, full moons or eclipses.
