SEATTLE — A fire tore through a well-known First Hill arts space early Tuesday morning, leaving behind heavy damage and heartbreak for those who consider it a creative home.
Passable, an art-focused space at 10th Avenue and East Union Street, is home to dozens of artists — many of them part of Seattle’s LGBTQ+ community — as well as a Third Place Technologies, a local nonprofit.
Shelly Farnham, the president of Passable, said the fire has deeply shaken the tight-knit group of artists who use the building.
