COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Two firefighters were shot and killed, and another is fighting for their life in the hospital following an ambush attack in northern Idaho on Sunday.
The suspected gunman who set a fire to lure firefighters to the mountainside is dead, according to law enforcement. Investigators are still working to find out the suspect’s motive and piece together what they can from a crime scene disturbed by wildfire.
