Animals safe after flood evacuation at historic Briscot Farm in Kent

A life-threatening flood at Briscot Farm in Kent prompted a daring animal rescue by a local animal sanctuary.

KENT, Wash. — Dozens of animals are safe tonight after life-threatening flooding forced an emergency evacuation at Briscot Farm in Kent.

Just days ago, rising water surrounded the property, leaving animals with little chance of escape. 

Draft horses were standing in water up to their chests, while smaller animals faced even greater danger.

“These were the three horses that we pulled out,” Amanda Sprynczynzatyk with Care Fur Life said.
