Amtrak trains between Portland to Seattle suspended until Monday due to track closure

The company said that previous weather events caused “an unforeseen track closure.” Amtrak did not release more details. 

Currently, Amtrak is working to gather buses as replacement transportation.

Due to the service disruption, Cascades Train 507 and 518 have been canceled. Cascade Train 517 will terminate in Kelso, and passengers will be provided with a bus to Portland. Coast Starlight, which departed from Los Angeles on Thursday, will terminate in Portland, and passengers will be able to continue on their journey to Seattle on a provided bus. 

Passengers with reservations on the trains that are being disrupted will typically be accommodated on trains for similar departure
