Amtrak suspends trains between Portland and Seattle due to landslide

Trains between Portland Seattle have been suspended for 48 hours due to a landslide, according to Amtrak.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Service for Amtrak Cascades trains between Portland and Seattle have been suspended for 48 hours due to a landslide, according to Amtrak

The company cited previous weather events as the reasoning for the landslide and track closure, which is expected to remain until Saturday evening.

Buses are being provided to transport most passengers past the closure.
