Amazon announces new Lacey, Washington distribution facility, brings over 1,000 new jobs to the area

Amazon announced Wednesday the opening of its new Washington distribution facility in Lacey and said it will bring over 1,000 new full-time jobs to the area.

The 510,000-square-foot warehouse is located at 3300 Hogum Bay Road N.E.

On top of a starting wage of $18 per hour, Amazon is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus, an additional $100 for proof of vaccination against COVID-19, a strong benefits package, and career mobility. Most of these perks begin on the first day of employment.

The new facility will support order fulfillment by intaking product from mostly small and medium-sized businesses and redistributing it to other fulfillment centers across the company.
