Allyn’s Bear in a Box offers $500 reward for stolen wooden balloon dog

The theft was caught on surveillance video.

ALLYN, Wash. — People in the community of Allyn are keeping an eye out for a large wooden balloon animal.

The chainsaw carving was stolen early Thursday morning from the Bear in a Box wood carving shop.

“It was your typical balloon dog, not typical being made out of wood,” said Tena Blake, who works at Bear in a Box.

Blake noticed the four-foot by four-foot sculpture was missing Thursday morning when she showed up to work.

There used to be two balloon dog carvings, but only one was there in the morning.
