Health officials are notifying families after a TB diagnosis connected to a Seattle high school
SEATTLE — Public Health – Seattle & King County says it is following up after a person associated with Rainier Beach High School in Seattle was diagnosed with active tuberculosis.
Health officials are working with the school to determine who may have been exposed and to provide information and guidance to students, staff and families.
The person who was diagnosed is receiving treatment and is no longer considered contagious.
As a precaution, about 130 people connected to the school are being advised to get evaluated for TB.
