A Bothell man received his grandfather’s message in a bottle 82 years after it was tied to a tree in British Columbia during World War II.
BOTHELL, Wash. — Communication from the great beyond has been delivered to a family in Bothell. It comes in the form of a message in a bottle, but it didn’t wash ashore. It was deeply rooted in the woods of the Pacific Northwest.
Tom Larsen has no memories of his grandfather, only keepsakes. Carl Larsen died the year Tom was born.
