An 84-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head, according to police.
CHEHALIS, Wash. — Police in Chehalis are investigating the possible homicide of an elderly man found dead in April.
Officers with the Chehalis Police Department were called on April 11 just before 9 a.m. for reports of an unresponsive male. Emergency crews arrived and determined Royland Barnett, 84, was dead.
The Lewis County Coroner’s Officer determined Barnett died from a gunshot wound to the head that was not self-inflicted.
