SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — Officials found eight more “canine” carcasses on Skagit County beaches Thursday, bringing the total to 21, after over a dozen carcasses washed ashore in the past week.
Guemes Island Fire Chief Olivia Cole said crews recovered eight carcasses on April 2 from beaches of Guemes Island, located just north of Anacortes.
Since March 26, beachgoers found at least 13 carcasses on the island from Peach Preserve to Kelly’s Point and near La Conner, KING 5
