7-Eleven employee hit with dog leash during robbery in downtown Seattle

Police say the suspect and female accomplice stole beer and ice cream before fleeing with a large white dog.

SEATTLE — A 22-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say he and a female accomplice stole ice cream and beer from a downtown Seattle 7-Eleven store and assaulted an employee. 

The incident unfolded shortly after 1 a.m. in the 800 block of 3rd Ave. According to the Seattle Police Department, when an employee attempted to stop them from leaving with the stolen goods, the woman hit him multiple times with a dog leash.
