6 puppies saved from suspected fentanyl overdose near Gold Bar

In a Facebook post, Sky Valley Fire said three puppies were brought to Station 54, prompting them to locate their home, where three additional puppies were found.

GOLD BAR, Wash. — Six 10-week-old puppies are recovering after firefighters and sheriff’s deputies rescued them from a suspected fentanyl overdose on Sunday, according to Sky Valley Fire. 

In a post on Facebook, Sky Valley Fire said three unresponsive puppies were brought to their station, Station 54, in critical condition, experiencing respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. Because all three puppies showed the same symptoms, crews believed they had been exposed to an environmental toxin.
