3 women shot in Auburn, 1 man with gunshot wound later detained

The Auburn Police Department said three women were shot on Monday afternoon.

AUBURN, Wash. — Three women were shot at an Auburn shelter for homeless youth on Monday afternoon, according to the Auburn Police Department. An additional gunshot victim was also found in Tukwila, and officers believe he is connected to the shooting.

The women were found at the Phoenix Rising Apartments, operated by Valley Cities Behavioral Health, in the 900 block of 26th Street Northeast just before 4:30 p.m. Police said the three women, all in their 20s, were found inside an apartment.
