3-alarm house fire in Leschi under control

There were reports of downed power lines and flames showing outside the building prior to the fire being under control.

SEATTLE — A three-alarm house fire in Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood was under control within about an hour of it being reported Friday night.

The fire was in the 500 block of 34th Avenue. There were reports of downed power lines and flames showing outside the building.

Fire crews were reported to be in a defensive position shortly after 8 p.m., putting water on the fire and protecting adjacent homes.

No injuries have been reported.

The incident is under investigation.
